Requirements
pgD/PgC in Medical Ultrasound BSc Radiography
minimum of 2 years of gynaecology scanning and at least 1 year of fertility scanning experience
diagnostic scans for initial assessment and scans for treatment. Transabdominal, transvaginal, 3D scans and Doppler studies

liaise with the consultants and nurses on an ongoing basis to ensure the smooth running of the department
implement and maintain accurate information systems for clinical data in accordance with clinic SOPs and national standards

prepare for and assist with the smooth running of the clinic ensuring a high standard of nursing care
schedule and co-ordinate patient treatment cycles, liaising with doctors to arrange prescriptions and drug administration
obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients
interpret and integrate information and results to determine appropriate procedures needed
collaborate with consultants in managing patient’s treatment cycles
maintain and review patients records, charts and other pertinent information
triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation
to assist with ultrasound scanning and administration of drugs relevant to patient’s treatment , teaching patients to self-administer where relevant and appropriate
Education
bachelor's
Requirements
bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Nursing
previous minimum 3 years’ experience as a fertility nurse or fertility midwife
ultrasound scanning qualification/course or certificate in fertility ultrasound scanning is a bonus, but not essential
