Responsibility

  • proficiency in reading and interpreting equipment schematics and technical manuals

  • ability to work independently and in a team, often in challenging and outdoor environments
  • strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Responsibility

  • troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance
  • preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance plans to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns
  • documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment performance data
  • parts Inventory: Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts, ensuring that necessary components are readily available for maintenance and repairs
  • equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of mobile and fixed plant equipment, including but not limited to crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and generators
  • training: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, equipment technologies, and safety procedures through continuous training and development

hgv driver

Requirements

  • valid and clean HGV driver's licence
  • prior experience as a Concrete Mixer Driver/Batcher or in a similar role is strongly preferred
  • knowledge of concrete mixing and batching processes, including mix proportions and material handling
  • familiarity with concrete construction practices, safety regulations, and traffic laws
  • strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks
  • flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and overtime, as required by project schedules

Responsibility

  • monitor the quality of the concrete during batching and transportation, making necessary adjustments to meet specifications
  • follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment

  • ensure the plant is running at optimal capacity and efficiency ensuring down time is kept to a minimum
