Responsibility
- the Garrity Barnt Green is a bold, independent café bar with a passionate team on board
- along with brunch, cake, old school cobs, scotch eggs – fresh from the bakers – as well as evening nibbles
- day to day operation of a small kitchen
- supporting the Front of House team member with the relevant tasks on the open checklist at the start of shift
- applying basic health and safety regulations – keeping food stored correctly and workstation and appliances clean
- preparing your workstation and various dishes as per instructions following training
- be conscientious about food costs and volume whilst ensuring the quality of remains
- we serve craft ale, cider, wine, spirits, cocktails, coffee from 200 Degrees Coffee Roasters, loose leaf teas from Bird & Blend Tea Co
Requirements
- you don’t need exceptional food knowledge but basic cookery and food prep skills is required
- level 2 Food Hygiene Certified or willing to undertake this training
- an excellent communicator and passionate about delivering quality food
- able to greet and smile – it’s basic we know, but it goes a long way and is essential
- A versatile and optimistic attitude hard-working, reliable and flexible
