Responsibility

  • chair side assistance along with the dentist and therapist, ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained at all times
  • prepare clinic appropriately & sterilise dental instruments and equipment
  • record patient's dental condition and treatment as required using computer software
  • ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • be familiar and comply with all health and safety rules including PPE, COSHH, Infection control and waste disposal
  • attend and complete training in line with the GDC registration requirements
  • attending and participation in practice meetings
  • participate in the annual appraisal process and the development and implementation of activities identified on the personal development plan

Requirements

  • the ideal candidate should be well presented, have a warm and friendly nature
  • team work and excellent communication skills are essential as well as being able to work off your own initiative
  • qualified nurses will need to provide Qualification & GDC Certificate
  • trainee Dental Nurse – training will be given
  • you must be flexible to work Saturdays and some evening
  • dental assisting: 1 year
  • dental Nursing: 1 year

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Dental Practice Manager or in a similar leadership role
  • strong knowledge of CQC standards and dental compliance requirements
  • previous dental experience is advantageous but not mandatory; however, an understanding of healthcare practices is preferred
  • excellent organisational and communication skills
  • commercially-minded, proactive, and professional attitude with strong leadership qualities
  • strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously
