Responsibility

  • prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards
  • ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
  • supervise kitchen staff during meal preparation and cooking processes
  • monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary
  • collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
  • maintain equipment and kitchen tools, ensuring they are in good working order
  • help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting
  • strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
  • proficiency in various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods
  • excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
  • A passion for culinary arts and creativity in dish presentation
  • ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership skills when required
  • relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
