Responsibility

  • ensuring quality control is maintained during the sorting, selection and presentation of donated goods in line with Ayrshire Hospice retail guidelines
  • monitor progress against agreed targets
  • embrace a culture of excellent customer service and support employees and volunteers to develop positive and professional relationships with customers
  • to manage and co-ordinate all aspects of merchandising donated goods – including categorisation, preparation and presentation of goods. Prepare and execute effective in-store and window displays to promote key goods and products
  • effectively deal with customer concerns or complaints in the first instance before escalating to Area Retail Manager, if required
  • develop positive relationships with donors to add in repeat donations
  • review all incoming goods to identify any specialist or “high value” items. Transfer these items to E-commerce or specialist shops where appropriate
