Responsibility

  • we are seeking an experienced HR and Recruitment Manager who is confident and passionate in their field
  • you will work hard to ensure that vacancies within the organisation are promptly and successfully recruited
  • amicus is a children’s therapeutic community accredited by The Royal College of Psychiatrists providing therapeutic care and education to vulnerable and traumatised children aged 5 to 16 years old

  • provide specialist psychoanalytic psychotherapy or psychoanalytically informed play therapy for vulnerable and traumatised children, alongside supporting their carers / families
  • make therapeutic decisions as part of a team based on Amicus’ therapeutic model, evidence-based research, and complex developmental factors
  • deliver therapy consistent with Amicus’ theoretical approach and core standards
  • use creative modalities to support children impacted by trauma and attachment difficulties
  • conduct assessments, deliver therapy, and monitor progress for children and families with complex needs
  • provide specialist reports and communicate effectively with Amicus teams and external professionals
  • engage children and families using knowledge of psychoanalytic, attachment, and developmental theories

Requirements

  • recognised postgraduate-level training in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy or Play Therapy
  • professional registration with ACP, UKCP, BPC, BAPT, or PTUK
  • significant experience in psychotherapy or play therapy with children, young people, and families
  • knowledge of therapeutic community practice and psychoanalytic/psychotherapeutic models for complex trauma and mental health issues
  • effective leadership in supporting staff and delivering clinical supervision and consultation
  • minimum 2 years’ experience in child and adolescent mental health or multidisciplinary contexts
  • ability to work flexibly, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
  • familiarity with professional ethical standards and codes of conduct
