- knowledge of relevant legislation relating to Private Sector Housing, requirements of the Housing Act 2004
- previous experience in writing witness statements
- ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, both orally and in writing
- strong knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act and other relevant legislation
- knowledge of the issues faced by homeless households and the underlying causes of homelessness
- knowledge and experience of dealing with housing and social care issues
- experience of leasehold and tenancy management
- the ability to deliver homelessness prevention and housing option solutions to diverse communities
- previous housing/tenancy management experience
- to have legal knowledge in relation to housing and associated matters
- experience of training or mentoring to enable team members to work effectively in housing options
- basic knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and practises
- strong understanding of GDPR regulations, laws and legislations

- up to date knowledge of legislation relevant to the Social Housing Sector
- detailed knowledge of Part VII of the Housing Act of 1996
- to have excellent level of IT literacy to be able to use self-service, digital user platforms and applications and MS Office
- strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels
- ability to analyse and interpret complex information and present the essential elements, both verbally and in written and/or numerical format
- superior verbal communication skills encompassing assertiveness, attentive listening, negotiation, and influence
- demonstrate experience of applying and enforcing relevant legislation, statutory instruments, and guidance

- car driver with access to a car for business use
- strong understanding of Housing laws and legislations including Part 6 of the Housing Act 2004
- demonstrable experience of delivering in a pressurised Housing Options Services
- ability to think analytically and identify key casework issues to inform sound decision making
- experience working for a housing association
- ability to provide proactive responses to issues of nuisance and anti-social behaviour
- have a track record of using IT systems and automation
- to have knowledge of the arrears procedure and of welfare benefits
- proven history of meeting deadlines and adeptly managing workloads
- A full valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role
- experience of tenancy support to prevent homelessness and engaging with residents through regular estate inspections
- minimum educational qualification of GCSE “A” Level or NVQ Level 3, or equivalent experience with transferable skills. While a housing qualification is advantageous, it's not mandatory
- experience dealing with homelessness applications
- experience in problem analysis, diagnosis, and solution implementation
