electrical design engineer

Responsibility

  • work with the R&D team to provide design drawings and bespoke built equipment to assist with R&D projects
  • work with the R&D and Global Engineering teams to specify, source and evaluate ‘off the shelf’ equipment for manufacturing and testing
  • manage projects, work to deadlines and budgets
  • liaise with suppliers for the purchase and supply of ‘off the shelf’ and specialist component parts
  • document and compile a project construction manual
  • undertake occasional international travel, as required
  • work as part of the Engineering team to design various process & test machinery, as well as the manufacture of this equipment

Requirements

  • experience building industrial machinery & test equipment
  • electrical design skills
  • understanding of electrical fitting & assembly processes
  • knowledge of pneumatics
  • experience of machine wiring
  • experience in the construction of rack mounted electronic modules
