Responsibility
- negotiate with suppliers to implement call off agreements where possible
- monitor and report on supplier performance in terms of compliance with contractual agreements, costs, delivery times, reliability, and number of non-conformances
- ensure dual sourcing is in place for all process critical components
- expand the supply chain by identifying, sourcing, and approving new suppliers under BRC/ISO processes
- review MRP daily, raise and submit purchase orders to supplier in line requirements generated from customer sales orders, forecasts, and factory consumable requirements
- engage with suppliers on a regular basis to conduct performance assessments
- input sales forecasts into Sage 200 to generate future requirements
- develop and manage supplier relationships to negotiate best prices and supply conditions ensuring commercial terms are optimised, supply maintained, contract implemented and manged as appropriate
