manager
Responsibility
- to ensure that all housekeeping and cleaning staff rotas are planned in the most effective and efficient way
- to ensure that a top-notch 24/7 housekeeping service is available to the client
- liaise with contractors to ensure purchase orders, work and invoices are addressed accordingly
- develop low season snagging routines and implement, taking into account periods when there is overseas travel
- to recruit, train and develop staff or to oversee their training & development, carry out appraisals and motivate or discipline where required
- to meet and greet clients when they arrive at the property - must be articulate, friendly and professional at all times
- requirements for food, flowers, cleaning materials, external cleaning services and laundry, must be informed to the correct department in a timely manner
Requirements
- hospitality certification/degree
- COSHH certified or recognised equivalent and demonstrate practice of health and safety
- PC literate, articulate and able to communicate at all levels with total professionalism, patience and discretion
- an understanding of refurbishments or opening of new hotels and an eye for design would be advantageous
- minimum of 3-4 years' experience
- full driving licence - a vehicle will be provided for travel between properties
- flexibility in hours worked as they can vary, depending on client's needs - and happy to travel overseas where required
- demonstrate experience of working in a 5* quality driven service 24/7 environment, people management skills, driven and energetic with a truelove for your job
