Responsibility

  • responsible for preparing parts from fillers and assemblies for painting
  • mix paint and other materials to specification or formula
  • ensuring that spray painting facilities and equipment are in good working order
  • responsible for identifying and separating non-conforming parts or materials and reporting them to supervisors
  • use a spray gun and apply paint to all specifications
  • employ heat or oven paint drying techniques for special finishes
  • examine and measure parts to maintain statistical process control charts
  • use solvents, wire brushes, and rags to clean sprayers and electrical equipment
