Responsibility

  • continuously adhering to HSE best practice, ensuring compliancy with HSE legislation and approved codes of practice
  • reporting directly to the Directors and Management on a regular basis with current HS&E trends and solutions to any issues
  • produce and manage audit programmes and maintain performance data, producing and issuing periodical safety reports
  • updating all health and safety policies and procedures
  • implement health and safety initiatives to promote best HS&E practice
  • undertake and review risk assessments and safe systems of work to a high standard, ensuring they are fully implemented, regularly reviewed, audited and improved upon to minimise risk where reasonably practicable
  • you will take a lead on all accidents and investigations reporting to management andliaising with the HSE and other regulatory boards

Requirements

  • health, Safety & Environmental Management Experience, ideally for a minimum of 5 years and in construction
  • NEBOSH certificate
  • an Environmental qualification would be desirable but not essential
  • experience or knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001
  • A proactive flexible approach; able to meet the needs of the businesses head on
  • confident communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide variety of employees, managers, Directors and clients
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail essential
