take a Seat is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Nurse practitioner to join our client's Multi-Disciplinary Team and contribute to the delivery of effective clinical services for children, young people, and families accessing services
engage in clinical work with individuals and groups, providing specialized advice, resources, and strategies utilizing autism-specific approaches as needed
this is a permanent position that offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with autism and their families
conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans for children and their families, providing guidance to other professionals when necessary
provide enhanced clinical support to the family support team, offering guidance and assistance in relation to families and children accessing clinical services
offer mentorship and clinical supervision for practice education placements
Requirements
relevant experience in providing clinical support within a multi-disciplinary setting
familiarity with ADOS and ADI-R assessments is preferred
strong knowledge of ASD approaches and support
excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information sensitively and effectively
ability to conduct clinical work with individuals and groups, utilizing specialized skills and autism-specific approaches
competence in conducting risk assessments and managing associated risks
strong organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate intervention plans and engage in multi-disciplinary care
commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with relevant research and practices
