Responsibility
- support ADOS and ADI-R assessments for children on the autism service pathway
- conduct workshops for adults and children, focusing on ASD approaches and support
- take a Seat is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Nurse practitioner to join our client's Multi-Disciplinary Team and contribute to the delivery of effective clinical services for children, young people, and families accessing services
- engage in clinical work with individuals and groups, providing specialized advice, resources, and strategies utilizing autism-specific approaches as needed
- this is a permanent position that offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with autism and their families
- conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans for children and their families, providing guidance to other professionals when necessary
- provide enhanced clinical support to the family support team, offering guidance and assistance in relation to families and children accessing clinical services
- offer mentorship and clinical supervision for practice education placements
Requirements
- relevant experience in providing clinical support within a multi-disciplinary setting
- familiarity with ADOS and ADI-R assessments is preferred
- strong knowledge of ASD approaches and support
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information sensitively and effectively
- ability to conduct clinical work with individuals and groups, utilizing specialized skills and autism-specific approaches
- competence in conducting risk assessments and managing associated risks
- strong organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate intervention plans and engage in multi-disciplinary care
- commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with relevant research and practices
