Responsibility

  • role modelling and supporting to deliver child centred and holistic care is of paramount importance in your role
  • be able to demonstrate a warm, person centred and affirmative approach to children and young people
  • to work towards career progression and complete the Level 4 in Children and Young People
  • to work alongside the manager, deputy and senior management team and to hold yourself in a professional way during meetings
  • demonstrate written communication skills, sufficient to contribute to a record keeping system
  • to be able to demonstrate a warm, child centred and affirmative approach to children
  • lead and delegate appropriately when on shifts
  • administer medication in line with our procedures

Requirements

  • hold a Driving Licence
  • candidate working towards or hold Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce or level 4 family practitioner
  • candidates either hold Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce or willing to complete this vital
  • hold Level 3 residential childcare / Level 4 family practitioner or working towards or willing to work towards
  • an enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment
  • have an understanding of the Children’s Home Regulations and legislations

  • complete regular staff supervision
  • demonstrate written communication skills, sufficient to contribute to a digital record keeping system
  • key work and be involved in liaising with social workers and other agencies
