Responsibility
help with the coordination of the transport operations, providing direction and communications to the drivers and the wider team
provide supervision of operations, including operation debriefs
work closely with the production and loading teams to ensure the smooth running of the operation as a whole
management of driver hours conforming to all EU and WTD regulations
ensure that all queries / requests are dealt with in a professional, courteous, and positive manner
ensure all equipment is maintained in line with company policy and in line with set vehicle service schedules
ensure effective communication of relevant information to employees
you will have responsibility for adherence to the transport plan, ensuring all core fleet are loaded / dispatched in conjunction with the planning requirements
Requirements
excellent transport knowledge including route planning, knowledge of EU driver hour rules and vehicle/transport legislation/H&S legislation
strong internal and external customer service skills
must be a team player
be able to manage people and drivers with the correct manner
flexible with shifts for holiday cover at busy periods
you will hold a Full UK driver License, ideally with CE Licence, Driver CPC and Digi Tachograph
CPC in National Road Haulage is desirable but not essential
2+ years relevant supervisory experience in a high volume, time sensitive distribution operation

you will have an HGV Licence category CE, together with a Digital Tachograph Driver Card and a current DCPC Qualification Card
experience of delivering to Regional Distribution Centres is desirable, along with a good geographical knowledge of the UK
based on the banks of the Tay, at Glencarse, Perth, Scotland, The Stewart Family and our predecessors have farmed at Tofthill since 1930
