Responsibility

  • we have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor within our Court of Protection and Private Client Team
  • legal area: Court of Protection property, financial affairs and general private client
  • the Team has a strong reputation in this area of work in the Northwest and sits within our Private client Department
  • the role will be predominantly dealing with Financial affairs Deputyships in the Court of Protection
  • location: Wigan, WN3 5BA and homeworking
  • welfare issues are dealt with in a separate team at Stephensons but the two teams work closely together
  • hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

  • working as part of this team, you will be truly supported daily by all members of the department.We offer both formal and informal supervision and offer weekly catch ups and meetings with the fee earner you support about progressing matters and identifying any need to training/support
  • we are seeking a graduate paralegal to help support and assist our expert and specialist fee earners in conducting a personal injury caseload, ensuring efficiency and excellent client care at all times
  • to assist department manager and fee earners in carrying out duties and, where appropriate, to deal with clients and their affairs. To effectively deal with and convert the department’s enquiries into new work for the team
