proven experience as a Fire and Security Engineer
strong knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
familiarity with BS5839 standards and British security regulations
full UK driving licence
excellent problem-solving and communication skills
ability to work independently and as part of a team
willingness to participate in an on-call rota and travel to client sites as needed

Responsibility
system Testing: Conduct testing and commissioning of systems, ensuring they are fully functional and compliant with industry standards
customer Support: Provide excellent customer service, offering technical support and advice to clients on system use and compliance requirements
documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including reports, certificates, and any additional documentation required for compliance
compliance: Ensure all work carried out adheres to BS5839 standards, as well as other relevant fire and security industry regulations
call-Outs: Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota for emergency call-outs
installation: Carry out installations of fire alarm systems, security alarms, CCTV, and access control systems according to British Standards and industry regulations
maintenance & Servicing: Perform routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair work on fire and security systems ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
