Responsibility

  • you will be expected to conduct site surveys and assessments of damaged properties
  • you need to be confident using basic IT apps and functions
  • you will be responsible for starting the restoration process
  • perform water mitigation, structural drying and mould remediation using specialist equipment in line with IICRC standards
  • the purpose of this role is to restore domestic properties to their pre-incident condition following a leak, flood, fire or smoke damage and to assist in getting customers back in their homes as quickly as possible
  • the main functions of this role are to perform water mitigation, fire/smoke restoration and mould remediation services whilst assisting our teams of building specialists and staff who may be responsible for rebuilding and repairing the property
  • cleaning and decontaminating properties which have suffered fire, flood or other insured perils
  • you will perform water mitigation, structural drying and mould remediation using specialist equipment in line with IICRC standards

Requirements

  • hands on, practical, problem solving mindset
  • restoration and Construction skills preferred
  • plumbing and basic construction skills
  • IICRC Certifications, BDMA or Dewpoint accredited preferred
  • strong customer service skills - able to deal with customers in sometimes stressful situations
  • DBS checked, or checkable
  • ability to manage quickly changing priorities
  • remain calm and focused under pressure

Requirements

  • qualified Decorators preferred, but time served with checkable references will be considered. DBS checked or checkable
  • paper hanging experience is absolutely essential
  • artex and\\or tiling experience useful, along with any other construction skills
  • wallpapering: 3 years
  • painting: 5 years

Responsibility

  • paper hanging is regularly required. Often working alone but sometimes as part of a team on a larger project. The work is predominantly in Bristol and Gloucestershire, with some work in the surrounding areas
