Responsibility
transport goods over long & short distances, often involving overnight stays away from home
conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues
maintain accurate delivery logs and adhere to scheduled routes
manage loading and unloading of tanker cargo, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed
communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status and any potential delays
operate HGV Class 1 / C+E vehicles, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and legal requirements
performing vehicle checks at the beginning of every shift
basic administration of paperwork & POD's
hgv technician
Requirements
high level of enthusiasm & good communication skills
technical background /experience in Powder Tankers preferable
city & Guilds / NVQ 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications & experience
