workshop controller
Responsibility
liaise with operational management with regards to forthcoming downtime on scheduled servicing, inspections, MOT tests and preparation, including outside contractors requirements
oversee purchase or requests of workshop equipment to facilitate more efficient operational conditions in workshop
primary role is to keep all vehicles compliant with current and future standards as laid down by the Traffic Commissioner as policed by Vosa and the Police force and any other governing bodies
making sure workshops are kept in a clean and tidy and safe condition making sure no environmental health conditions are present
make sure all vehicles are inspected, repaired, defects reported and dealt with, tachographs calibrated and interval checks carried out along with annual MOT tests to Vosa and OCRS Standards
make sure all inspection reports along with MOT prep and any other workshop reports are uploaded to the company shard file and electronically stored
making sure the vehicle fleet is kept in a mechanically and cosmetically high standard
make sure all workshops are secured before leaving site or by designates or appointed assistant
