- develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace
- performs market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs
- establishes pricing strategies
- identify, evaluate, and prioritize legislative, competitive and technical discontinuities and their impact, generating insight around opportunities or threats
- generate and maintain a prioritized and quantified pipeline of growth opportunities, with respect to organic as well as inorganic growth
- the Product Marketing Manager will support a range of activities, from analyzing market trends, defining customer needs and evaluating the competitive landscape to developing product roadmaps and pricing proposals as well as develop and implement growth strategies
- develop and execute marketing strategies on application level based on value Sensata brings compared to alternative or competitive solutions
Requirements
- education and experience
- B.S. degree in engineering or related field
- strong technical aptitude; strong technical and commercial skills are essential
- strong negotiation skills; experience in pricing or contract negotiations desirable
- exceptional presentation and customer-facing skills
- working knowledge of heavy duty vehicle industry is desirable
- additional prior experience or working knowledge of machine control systems, which may include sensors, operator controls, hydraulics, or other vehicle systems is a plus
- solid understanding of financial fundamentals
