  • drafting, reviewing, and helping negotiate supply contracts and client agreements
  • advising on the shape, structure and set up of commercial / procurement contracts
  • we are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our team, to work within a commercially focused team covering commercial and procurement activities
  • the successful applicant will work with the Head of Legal in drafting, reviewing, and potentially participate in, the negotiation of all contracts including client agreements and supply contracts
  • collaborating closely with internal clients to get contracts closed
  • providing trusted and proactive legal/commercial advice, both verbally and in writing

Requirements

  • A UK qualified solicitor
  • material commercial law practice and knowledge
  • knowledge of employment and tax law is beneficial
  • A law degree, LPC / BPTC or equivalent experience
  • experience working within an in-house role would be beneficial
  • can demonstrate skilled, confident, hands-on contractual drafting
  • experience of public authority procurement – Outsourcing and insourcing agreements, Hardware, Software, SaaS agreements, services agreements
  • experience of negotiating commercial contracts / making deals happen

Responsibility

  • the Finance Manager will be responsible for various financial activities, including month-end reporting, forecasting, business planning, business partnering, stakeholder management, managing the finance function, line management, creation of management reports, and assisting with pricing
  • this is a key role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • build strong relationships and effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • oversee their work, provide performance feedback, and promote their professional development
  • as the team grows, assume additional line management responsibilities
  • business partnering/stakeholder management: Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to drive business performance
  • line management: Initially manage one employee, providing guidance, coaching, and support

Requirements

  • part of fully qualified accountant: Hold a recognized accounting qualification or equivalent experience
  • forecasting: Strong experience in financial forecasting, including the ability to develop accurate models, analyze trends, and identify potential risks and opportunities
  • key Stakeholder management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
