- work with the factory manager in ensuring a workable production plan is maintained and communicated to all relevant staff
- ensure the Health & Safety of all Production Staff under his or her control
- ensure Team Talks occur on each line and are carried out to the agreed agenda
- progress any material issues on behalf of the Team Leader as promptly as possible
- effectively communicate with Production Staff and Management any issues effecting safety, quality or production
- general housekeeping duties
- ensure housekeeping and hygiene is maintained at all times
- ensuring highest Quality of products under your control, reporting any issues to QA
- ensure your area is properly prepared and a safe working environment at all times
- effectively communicate with Staff and Management reporting any issues affecting safety, quality or productivity
- effectively communicate with Production Staff and Manage any issues effecting safety, quality or production
- coach and Manage all Production Staff under their control either directly or indirectly
- carrying out duties of stock control – ensuring returned stock is allocated to the correct department
- taking completed/signed documents from drivers and updating/uploading to driver file
- ensure all team members are following Health & Safety processes and procedures to business standards
- co-ordinating daily / weekly workloads and schedules to ensure orders are prepared and despatched on time
- monitor staff performance including productivity, attendance and timekeeping
- optimise the warehouse capacity and space through regular and efficient housekeeping of all stock
