Responsibility

  • delivery of day-to-day care and support within the care home, always ensuring the welfare of staff and children
  • building a safe, positive and preventative environment, in which staff and children are heard, understood and supported
  • provide supervision and coaching to Care Workers, ensuring high-quality care is delivered consistently
  • deliver to care plans, promoting physical, emotional, and social development, recognising each young persons’ individuality
  • administer medication as prescribed, and ensure proper documentation is maintained
  • ensuring the highest level of safety for staff and young people
  • provide care to our residents, working to the highest standards of care, in accordance with regulatory requirements, including our Statement of Purpose
  • work closely with Local Authority and Healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate care effectively

Requirements

  • experience within residential care, looked after children, social work, nursing home, or assisted living setting
  • experience as a Supervisor in a care setting
  • understanding of child development and safeguarding practices
  • strong working knowledge of care regulations; providing effective supervision of care, and accurate care document administration
