RYLANDS NURSING HOME is looking for employees for positions:
- the position is on a rota 4 shifts per week from 8am to 2pm or 11am to 5pm inclusive of weekends
- cleaning of all areas ie bedrooms, bathroom facilities, corridors, offices, inside windows, residents' dining room and all fixtures and fittings
- care and use of equipment for cleaning
- adhere to cleaning schedules and hygiene practices
- cross infection precautions
- ability to work as part of a team adapting to varying circumstances and new methods
- ability to work unsupervised
- to attend training lectures
- ensure that nursing documentation and other records are accurate and meet NMC and GDPR standards
- participate in the prevention and investigation of all accidents and untoward events including clinical incidents
- participate in systems for ordering/stock control/usage of supplies/drugs
- monitor, maintain and report defects of all equipment ensuring it is readily available for use at all times
- participate in clinical audit and professional research
- maintain close links with nursing, medical and other professional disciplines involved in care of the residents and their families
- ensure adherence to Confidentiality code at all times
- ensure equality legislation is implemented
- responsible for the assessment of care needs, implementation and evaluation of care given
- ensure that personal performance and standards of care given are highest possible
- update professional knowledge in clinical areas, research and technical advances relevant to sphere of work
- provide professional support as required within the team/Healthcare setting
- assist with developing appropriate nursing standards and participate in clinical audit and research as agreed
- be aware of and work within the NMC Codes and Rules
- ensure that safe custody of patient’s property in accordance with the homes policy on same
- ensure adherence to NMC, DoH, PHA, Trusts and Rylands Policies and Protocols
