Responsibility

  • development and delivery of Ask the Nurse service and online community contact, training and supervising staff
  • to act as a contact point with Lung Cancer Specialist Nurses across the UK
  • maintain regular communication with support groups; arranging visits as appropriate
  • co-ordinate delivery and development of facilitator training to Nurses and other Health Care professionals running support groups
  • to develop our network of support groups, linking with facilitators, providing written and face to face contact
  • co-ordinate and co-facilitate Information Days, which are patient focused events
  • work with staff across the charity to respond to the needs of those affected by lung cancer
  • producing, monitoring and analysing data on service uptake, including monthly and quarterly reporting

Responsibility

  • you will be working in the department dealing directly with people affected by lung cancer
  • co-ordinate and facilitate phone contact with patients and carers by working with Service Co-ordinator & Managers
  • the post holder will have a key role in supporting the team and embedding strong administrative systems
  • you will manage a wide variety of work and be responsible for 2 members of staff
  • co-ordinating data management and integration of service activity on Raiser’s Edge database
  • support patient grant contacts, logging and assessing requests and carrying out evaluation
  • you will be involved in finance, administrative and data management on behalf of the team
  • line management responsibility, currently for 2 staff
