Nixons Kitchens (part of Roundel Manufacturing) is a highly regarded supplier of customised furniture to housebuilders in the UK. With over 50 years of industry experience, this family-owned part of the business operates from its manufacturing base in Seaton Burn.The company specialises in designing, manufacturing, supplying, and installing affordable and luxury-fitted furniture. Their success stems from their commitment to providing customers with a personalised and professional service, as well as their ability to quickly adapt to market and customer trends.Currently, Nixons has an exciting opportunity available within its manufacturing section and are looking to recruit an Apprentice Production Operative.The initial role will be based in the stores area and training will be given on all aspects of the manufacturing process.The apprenticeship will be based at the factory and there is no day release, the tutor will attend the premises to provide work to the successful candidate.The position is Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 11.30am.Once the apprenticeship has been completed, the successful candidate will be placed on the 3 tier sliding salary scale. Production Operative (End of Assembly Line) Washington
Roundel Manufacturing Limited is one of the premium suppliers to the UK’s house builders of bespoke kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and home study furniture. We are a family owned business with more than 50 years’ experience of working in this sector, successfully supplying from our manufacturing base at Washington in the North East of England.Roundel engage in the design, manufacture, supply and installation of affordable and luxury fitted furniture. The success of the company is based upon a policy to provide customers with a personal and professional service together with the flexibility to respond quickly to changes in market and customer trends.We currently have a vacancy within our production department.The role will be based at the end of the assembly line and involve the wrapping and lifting of units from the line onto a trolley. We are a family owned business with more than 50 years’ experience of working in this sector, successfully supplying from our manufacturing base at Washington in the North East of England.Roundel engage in the design, manufacture, supply and installation of affordable and luxury fitted furniture. The success of the company is based upon a policy to provide customers with a personal and professional service together with the flexibility to respond quickly to changes in market and customer trends.We currently have a vacancy within our mill production department.Based at Washington, the purpose of the role is to assist in the manufacture of in house kitchen units. Typically, working in a team of two, you will receive full training in the role.The role will be based within the milling factory and is initially Monday to Friday 37.5 hours. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm and Friday 7am to 10.30am. We are expecting the successful candidates to work this shift for 4 weeks and then change to a Monday to Thursday shift working 34 hours per week starting at 9.30pm and ending at 6.30am. Salary will be reflected with the change in working hours. Own car is essential as there will be no public transport available.We have recently implemented a three tier pay structure which is reviewed every 6 months. The structure starts at £10.90 per hour and increases when a specific criteria is met. The team currently work Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 11.30am. The team consolidate items to be loaded onto the company wagons.
