we have an exciting opportunity available to join Rough Trade in the role of Bar & Events Manager at our flagship store, Rough Trade East
the Bar & Events Manager reports jointly to the General Manger, Rough Trade East, and the UK Events Manager
the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our café, bar and live events proposition including events operations and customer experience
for over 40 years, Rough Trade has been trusted by customers and the music industry to shine a spotlight on the best new music from all over the world
this is a permanent role on a full time basis. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week

manage employee performance and absence issues alongside the General Manager
support the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of Rough Trade East, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, loss prevention, health and safety, and stock control
lead and motivate a team of music enthusiasts, ensuring that they are engaged, knowledgeable, and focused on delivering exceptional customer service across all aspects of the store experience
ensure that the store is commercially merchandised to a high standard, with a focus on maximising sales and profitability as well as championing the best new music
provide expert product knowledge and advice to customers, helping them to discover new music and find the products that are right for them
support the General Manager to ensure consistency of customer and employee journey in their absence
Requirements
