Responsibility

- to assist with supervising and undertaking minor refurbishments, building work, repairs, and replacements
- attend site team & subcontractor progress meetings, monitoring performance and co-ordinating on-site activities
- assist in the supervision of the cleaning teams ensuring they keep all areas of the site clean, safe and secure
- make sure all plant and machines are used efficiently on site
- assist the site team in co-ordinating works on site
- encourage and develop others to succeed in their roles
- managing aftercare on site
- to ensure the school environment and immediate perimeter is kept free of graffiti and litter daily
- to assist the management team in ensuring that the health and safety responsibilities for the site are met
- maintaining safety procedures and accurate records on the filing system
- maintaining site records and diaries on BIM360
- produce record sheets/change notes or similar to assist Site Manager/Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor
- to ensure the physical security of the site is maintained at all times by appropriate systems
- keeping site records up to date, checking time sheets and ensuring site is tidy
- organise all labour on site, including Sub-Contractors
- ensure required safety documentation is received from SCPs
- ensure materials, plant, and equipment is ordered and controlled in line with the project specific prelims and bills of quantities
- support with training and deploying the school’s caretaking staff to ensure that they keep all areas of the site safe, secure, maintained to the highest standard and statutory compliant
- quality Control and daily inspections/sign off
- to monitor plant and equipment, to ensure maximum efficiency. To contact specialists where necessary, to address problems/recommend solutions as and when required
- make sure all plant and machines are used safely and efficiently on site in line with prelim allowances
- support with the delivery of the planned preventative maintenance programme on an annual basis outlining priorities for the maintenance and development of the site

- to ensure that the RFM equipment, materials and stock are accounted for. To identify pupil damage and raise recharges to the school, and order replacements and rectifications
- provide assistance to the Project / Site Manger as required and where applicable

- previous experience in the Construction/Affordable Housing Industry and timber frame experience essential
- experience in managing Architects, Engineers, Clients, Sub-contractors, Supply Chain
