Responsibility
- oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple children’s care homes, ensuring adherence to organisational policies, procedures, and standards
- monitor and evaluate service delivery, ensuring the provision of high-quality care and support for children and young people
- develop and implement operational strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services
- collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to develop and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- lead, manage, and support a team of care home managers, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and staff development
- provide regular supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to care home managers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development
- conduct regular performance appraisals, addressing any performance issues and identifying opportunities for growth and development
- ensure all children’s care homes within the area meet and maintain regulatory requirements and quality standards
Requirements
- level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- experience managing children’s residential homes
- excellent knowledge of child welfare regulations, safeguarding practices, and relevant legislation as well as strong leadership and management skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
- sound financial understanding and experience in budget management
- commitment to promoting the well-being, progression, development, and rights of children and young people
- driving license and willingness to travel within the specified area as required
- children's Registered Manager: 1 year
