RESPONSIVE ENGINEERING is looking for employees for positions:
- inspection of products in the machine shop
- inspection of products in the fabrication and welding area to ensure the correct quality
- calibration and validate monitoring and measuring equipment prior to use
- liaise with engineering team to clarify inspection and testing requirements
- liaise with goods inward for the inspection of raw materials, components and associated certification
- support the production team with in-process inspection
- support the production team with in-process inspection and testing of components for manufacture
- maintain product traceability and compliance to required standards
- minimum of 2 years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment in a Quality control role
- proficient in reading, understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- competent with manual inspection processes using equipment such as tapes, rules, micrometres, verniers, height gauges, thread gauges etc
- competent with manual inspection processes using equipment such as tapes, rules, and squares
- ability to write clear and concise inspection reports and work with both metric and imperial units as required
- ability to operate and programme CMM
- sound decision making and problem-solving skills
- ability to operate and programme FARO Arm
- fabricate a varying range of products and materials to the correct standard operating procedure
- highlight any issues to the Chargehand/Team Leader which may affect the fabrication of these products
- check all relevant information on Route Cards to ensure correct drawings, material have been issued prior to the manufacture of components
- sign off relevant sections of Route Card on completion of operations
- report any non-conforming components to the section supervisor in a timely manner
- ensure that the work area is kept clean and appropriate safety equipment is worn at all times
- ensure appropriate lifting equipment is used and assistance is sought when handling heavy objects
- ensure good work practices are adopted and carried out in line with company procedures
- working knowledge in fabrication and welding
- experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2f- PB horizontal / 2g -PC horizontal
- experience of welding & fabricating steel components
- 3g – PF vertical up
- ability to follow manufacturing instructions and follow plans

- bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
- at least 5 years of experience in a supply chain management role
