qualification in Surveying Discipline is preferred but not essential as previous experience and building knowledge would be considered
driving Licence
A good knowledge of Health and safety and preparation of construction phase plans is essential
the ideal applicant will have a flexible approach and ideally a background in the building insurance industry, contractor management and building repair sector for at least 5 years
A good in-depth understanding of domestic and commercial building construction and reinstatement practices, costing and scheduling is required as well as a good understanding of scheduling systems

attend site to carry out damage survey & gather all required information on the Building loss
evaluate information gathered and make liability decision based on policy cover
validating, Repudiating and Negotiating cash settlement with policyholders & Clients
working directly with senior management team and clients
prepare schedule of works in line with client requirements
write clear and precise reports on the loss
amend reports/SOW following valid variations
assist admin team as required and provide technical support
