we are now looking for a Financial Controller to support the Finance function of a fast-growing international scale-up
financial management of our international expansion, both in Continental Europe and the USA
you will have responsibility for the financial aspects of the business, from forecasting and analysis through to managing the day-to-day financials
handle tax aspects related to the business; prepare and manage annual R&D tax credit submissions to HMRC alongside our auditors
liaise with existing and new/potential investors, assist with fundraising and capital structure for the Company
Requirements
relevant degree and a qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification
at least 5 years’ of relevant experience in Finance, preferably in the technology sector, with experience in start-ups/scale-ups being essential
understanding how to manage the financials for the business and risk management
familiar with planning and forecasting techniques that are needed to tightly manage cash on a day-to-day basis as well as longer-term
experience in supporting fundraises
confidence in presenting both to an Executive Management team and Company Board, being able to present financials with clarity is essential
excellent verbal and written skills with an ability to present to audiences
contract negotiations with third parties across different aspects of the business; liaising and directing outside counsel
