Requirements

  • A HNC or higher in mechanical engineering is preferred although equivalent industrial experience will be considered
  • A working knowledge of a PLM/PDM software system such as Agile would be beneficial
  • strong background creation of new design concepts for large, fabricated products
  • understanding of skills required to develop complex electro-mechanical assemblies
  • experience of design for manufacture, with a background in a production or an operations environment would be beneficial
  • solidWorks design experience is essential, with a proven track record in the design of fabrications, sheet metalwork and machined components
  • the ability to work with design packages Autodesk Inventor would be beneficial
  • A working knowledge of Engineering calculations and how to apply them in practice
