Requirements
A HNC or higher in mechanical engineering is preferred although equivalent industrial experience will be considered
A working knowledge of a PLM/PDM software system such as Agile would be beneficial
strong background creation of new design concepts for large, fabricated products
understanding of skills required to develop complex electro-mechanical assemblies
experience of design for manufacture, with a background in a production or an operations environment would be beneficial
solidWorks design experience is essential, with a proven track record in the design of fabrications, sheet metalwork and machined components
the ability to work with design packages Autodesk Inventor would be beneficial
A working knowledge of Engineering calculations and how to apply them in practice
