Responsibility
oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations for the vehicles on site
develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures
develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal vehicle performance, compliance with regulations, and extended lifespan of the fleet
monitor fleet operations to ensure compliance with regulations
manage a team of handover specialists, providing leadership, guidance, and training to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce
coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs
source and manage relationships with vendors for parts, equipment, and services, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost effectiveness
manage fleet budget and expenses
Requirements
mechanical knowledge
proficiency with hand and power tools
knowledge of vehicle maintenance best practices
strong leadership and communication skills
proven experience in fleet management or a similar role
prior experience in maintenance roles
excellent organisational abilities
familiarity with PCO regulations and licensing procedures for private hire vehicles
