Responsibility

  • producing high quality machined components
  • programming, setting and operating fixed head CNC lathes
  • completing small to large batch work plus prototypes
  • work collaboratively as a team member to improve existing processes and quality control
  • working with a variety of materials from plastics, aluminium and stainless steels
  • ability to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative
  • maintain production records to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and company procedure

Education

  • GCSE or equivalent

Requirements

  • experience with Fanuc controls – On fixed head CNC lathes
  • experience with multi-turret machines would be a significant benefit
  • understanding of engineering drawings and working with tight tolerances
  • strong communication and time management skills
  • CAD/CAM experience with Esprit, EdgeCam and OneCNC is desirable
  • ISO 9001-2015 experience would be beneficial

quality inspector

Responsibility

  • inspection of precision machined components, working to tight tolerances. First off and final inspections
  • utilising CMM, micrometers, height gauges, callipers etc
  • complete First Article Inspection Reports to customer requirements, where required
  • assisting customer & internal NCR process and investigating the causes of any failures to prevent recurrence
  • the calibration of inspection, measuring and test equipment in line with company procedures
  • supporting internal auditors when carrying out systems and process audits

Requirements

  • 3 years minimum experience
  • proficient in GD&T and Technical Drawings
  • effective in communication and problem solving
  • working knowledge of ISO9001
  • CMM experience
  • training available where necessary on inspection equipment
  • quality assurance: 5 years
  • aylesbury HP20 1DQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
