Responsibility

- the HR Advisor will report to the HR Manager, and will carry out a full generalist role providing high quality, professional and proactive advice to senior and middle managers on all HR related matters

- liaise with and support Managers in dealing with all Employee Relations issues, including; absence management, investigations, disciplinarians, grievances and dismissals
- and to ensure that they are dealt with confidentially, fairly, commercially, pragmatically and that all legal procedures are followed
- update and maintain HR systems
- manage the exit procedure including conducting exit interviews and ensuring compliance procedures are followed
- you will work in partnership with managers and staff, supporting the employee journey at all stages to ensure they can further improve their ‘world class’ levels of employee engagement
- you will also be required to provide advice, guidance, and support to staff, including on matters relating to their employment, policies and health and wellbeing and will be responsible for the line management of one of the HR administrators

- supporting the Senior Director, Human Resources and Human Resources Business Partner in proving 2nd line HR advisory support, specifically relating to policy and process to Department Leads, Managers and Employees throughout the business

- ideally you will be qualified to Level 5 CIPD, or have recent HR generalist experience, including a good practical knowledge and understanding of the core HR activities and current employment law, as well as first-class interpersonal and listening skills
- provide advice and guidance to Managers on employee issues, HR processes and policies in line with relevant Employment Law, supported by external experts
- providing professional and confidential HR advice, support, and administration across the full range of HR activity; including employee relations issues, flexible working applications, performance reviews, long-term absence, and welfare concerns
Requirements
- previous experience within a HR Advisory role
- CIPD Level 3 accreditation or equivalent is essential
- experience with HR systems
