Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field
- city & Guilds 2391-52 qualification in Inspection and Testing
- NVQ Level 3
- 18th Edition
- in-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes
- strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- proficient in using electrical testing equipment and software for reporting
Responsibility
- conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports in commercial and industrial environments
- inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment
- identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards
- provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions
- ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices
- communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice
- ensure all inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required
