Responsibility

  • investigate accidents, near-misses and potential incidents and prepare the appropriate report, including findings and recommendations to prevent a recurrence
  • carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
  • outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards
  • carry out site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
  • ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
  • conduct in-house training and inductions with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
  • keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements
  • provide accident statistics, analysis and proposals of remedial action

Requirements

  • the most suitable candidate for this role would hold Certificate level NEBOSH in Construction
  • experience of working in the construction industry
