Requirements
- where appropriate represent the department at meetings, both internal and external
- liaise with external parties including lawyers, insurers, loss adjusters, surveyors etc. as necessary
- have an awareness of any appropriate legislation and regulations which have an effect on claims
- handling of Hutchison Ports claims in line with company procedure, including investigation and interpretation of incident data, communication with claimants in order enable timely and accurate settlements
- independently collate and review claims in the first instance, maintain the Claims and Document Management Systems ensuring that information is kept up to date at all times, paying particular attention to reserves
- maintain excellent communication at all levels within the company in order to be able to mitigate claims risk and give advice if required on implementing preventative measures
- ensure compliance to all policies, procedures, standard operating practices, GDPR etc. with appropriate recommendations to ensure the company exposure is limited
