The role We are currently looking for Strategy and Transformation Manager to help deliver a complex and game changing transformation programme across the business. You will be reporting to our Chief Transformation Officer who is overseeing a fundamental change to the business. You will be working to help turnaround the organisation as well as providing the high level thinking and analysis. Alongside the strategic elements you will also be getting involved in some of the operational transformation programmes to deliver a tangible business impact. We are currently looking for an experienced Route Ship Manager for our Dover/Calais route to assist the Fleet Director with all aspects of marine and technical operations of the vessels in the business unit to ensure compliance with statutory and company regulations and ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency. Location: Dover - Dover/Calais route Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure Marine and Technical support is available to the vessel. Carry out regular inspections ensuring the ships are maintained as required, giving the necessary operational and support to each vessel. Ensure vessel is maintained to a high standard. Ensure each Ship is compliant at all times with flag, class and other regulatory bodies. Ensure annual budgets are prepared in timely manner and achieved for each vessel. With the launch of two state of the art ships in 2023 plus the support of our DP World family there has never been a more exciting time to join our organisation. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Sustainability Manager to join us in this newly created role here at our new satellite office based in Woking. In this role you will provide comprehensive support to the business in regard to the development, growth delivery and reporting of our environmental and sustainability strategies. As our Corporate Sustainability Manager, you will co-ordinate the delivery of the corporate sustainability program and make recommendations to senior leadership to execute strategies to enhance our approach to sustainability initiatives. Location – Woking What you’ll be doing Leading the roll-out of the environmental and sustainability strategy including co-ordinating with the other business unites (BUs) and centres of excellence (CoEs) on energy, carbon and waste reporting. Updating the policies and procedures in relation to the environmental and sustainability strategy including ESG documentation. • Lead contact in relation to environmental / sustainability initiatives, targets and projects such as shore power, carbon emissions trading and any other governmental credits, grants or other benefits across the Group and working with the relevant BUs or CoEs in relation to those. Research information, prepare presentations and lead in-house training in the areas of environmental/sustainability programs as necessary throughout the Group. About you: Minimum 3 years professional experience in the environmental/sustainability field. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing sustainability programs. Capacity Manager Dover
We are P&O Ferries with 2 new ships joining our fleet in 2023 plus the support of our DP World family the business continues to thrive and expand. At P&O Ferries we are undergoing an exciting transformation and one of our key drivers is Capacity Management, which is the management of available capacity on our vessels to ensure that resources are used optimally. Capacity management lies at the heart of our business as we continue to transform and this is a core function as we continue to ensure that we are identifying future demand and aligning this with capacity. The position of Capacity Manager is for our Dover to Calais route, and you will have 2 direct reports who assist for this route. Ideally applicants will come for a shipping, freight or similar background and has forecasting experience or similar. You will have a highly analytical mindset able to utilise data to ensure that routes are utilized to their maximum capacity. This role requires the successful individual to be able to make decisions effectively and have the ability to forecast and plan capacity requirements which are in alignment with other departments so being an effective communicator is a key skill. Location: Homebased with travel to Dover. Duties and Responsibilities: Overlook filling of the ships on a day to day basis. Set schedule, sailing speed and port staff requirements together with respective departments. Follow performance of individual routes and ships to ensure a high level of utilization and ship contribution at the lowest possible cost. Allocate tourist/freight allocation on ships.
