Responsibility
- read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- select, measure and mark out areas of work by design plans and layouts
- install doors and other fixtures

- collaborate with other tradespeople such as masons, plumbers, electricians, and painters to complete projects
- utilising carpentry and joinery skills to cut, shape and drill the marked out material to the agreed specification using hand and power tools
- provide an aftercare service by completing any additional maintenance, repairs and fittings for the client as per aftercare service
- assemble the final wood pieces by fixing and aligning them with screws, nails and glue to create wooden structures typically bespoke storage units for kitchens
- maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety guidelines and procedures whilst working with tools, equipment, and potentially hazardous materials. Ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment
- ensure that all the work is completed to a high quality standard and craftsmanship to meet the functional and aesthetic design requirements
Requirements
- proven experience as a joiner or similar role
- proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to joinery work
- strong knowledge of different types of wood and joinery techniques
