Responsibility
- plan and carry out quality inspection checks of recently completed and in progress works across our core trades
- planning and carrying out quality inspection tests on recently completed and in progress works

- draw attention to areas of potential problems related to activities being undertaken and put forward remedial actions
- ensuring engineers adhere to Operational procedures and processes as outlined in the Operations manual, guaranteeing quality of practice is met
- ensure Engineer adherence to Operational Procedures and Processes as set out by the Operations Manual
- creating site visit and inspection reports for each visit, containing remedial actions and photographic evidence when required

- collaboratively work with the Customer Service Department on investigations into complaints from our customers and support them in providing resolutions

- being innovative with marketing initiatives and support new business opportunities when required
- assist with Engineer recruitment by meeting with prospective Engineers to ensure they meet required technical competencies
- providing constructive feedback on engineer performance, leading to provide engineers with refreshed learning
- work to enhance and continuously improve our customer journey with the Engineers
- contribute to Marketing initiatives and support new business opportunities as and when required
- adhere to objectives and KPI’s as set out by your line manager
- manage and/or participate in any other ad hoc projects as needed
- as Technical Service Manager, you will work closely with our engineers to ensure compliance with the requirements of our trade regulators, improve and maintain quality of works, reduce call backs, avoid customer complaints, improve our Engineer skills set through training and support, and maintain the quality of service being provided to our customers
Requirements
- experience working in the Gas and Heating industry
- C & G 2382 18th edition / BS7671
- must be fully conversant with BS7671

- ACS Qualification and NVQ level 2 in Domestic, or Commercial Gas
- must be working as a NICEIC Qualifying supervisor at present

- 5 years ‘experience in servicing, installation, and repairs in a domestic environment is desirable
- NVQ Level 3
- ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience in servicing, installation, and repairs in a domestic environment
- gas Safe qualified is desirable
- C & G 2391 or Equivalent
- gas Safe Qualified
- G3/Unvented Hot water qualification
- be working as a NICEIC Qualifying supervisor at present
- C & G 2382 18th edition 2nd amendment
- G3/ Unvented Hot Water qualification
- G3/ Unvented Hot Water qualification and Water Regulations
- have a strong technical background
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a domestic environment carrying out test and inspection works is desirable
- ideally a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a domestic environment carrying out test and inspection works
- experience in project management and control of contractors
- strong technical background
- technical engineer - Electrics: 10 years
- ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and Engineers
- full UK Manual driving license
- excellent customer facing and interpersonal skills
- good commercial awareness and customer focusvided to our customers by our network of sub-contracted engineers
- successfully execute the Site Assessment program to deliver targeted NPS scores and maximise customer satisfaction
- full manual UK driving licence
- strong communication and administration skills with excellent attention to detail
