extensive experience commercialising new industrial bioprocesses
practical experience building process and techno-economic and completing sensitivity assessments
experience leading front end engineering and design work
previously built, commissioned and operated pilot plants / demonstration units
experience dealing with contract engineering firms and overseeing complex projects with international supply chains

independent planning and coordination of technology development and scaling projects to ensure they are successfully delivered on time and within budget
identify, negotiate with, and manage key contractors and suppliers
build and manage budgets, timelines, and risk registers for various projects
constantly develop and assess different options for project delivery based on budget, scope, and risk
produce reports for internal and external purposes, including presenting project progress to internal teams and external stakeholders
represent the company externally by engaging in business development to obtain and manage new strategic partners and clients
Requirements
have a proven ability to manage and integrate multiple contractors for successful product delivery
have experience identifying key suppliers, managing lead times, and negotiating favourable terms
be comfortable coordinating project teams including internal collaborators, external industrial and academic partners, and contractors
have a demonstrated ability to balance multiple complex projects and responsibilities simultaneously
have an understanding of the technology scaling and piloting process, including design, engineering, safety and compliance, procurement, and delivery
have a proven track record of project management and delivery in the areas of technology development and scaling, ideally in a biotech or greentech environment
desirables
have a demonstrated interest in, and understanding of, biotechnology, fermentation, and CCUS/green technologies
