to assist the Practice Business Manager and Practice Co-Ordinator with clerical and administrative duties
to establish and maintain filing and administrative systems so that written or computer information is easily accessible and secure
to assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required
to provide cover for members of the secretarial team during periods of sickness and annual leave
to provide an efficient audio, copy typing and word processing service for GPs and health professionals as required. This includes the typing of letters, reports and patient referrals
to attend, contribute and take minutes as practice meetings
to receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries relating to referrals
to support practice to deal with medical insurance reports

to produce the IPC annual statement in conjunction with the practice manager c
to develop, implement and embed health promotion and well-being programmes d
to implement and evaluate individual treatment plans for chronic disease patients e
to identify, manage and support patients at risk of developing long term conditions, preventing adverse effects to patients health f
to provide routine nursing care to patients as required in accordance with clinical based evidence, NICE and the NSF g
to provide wound care to patients h

work closely with GP practices and the CCG Clinical Pharmacy in General Practice lead
support the Medicines Optimisation team in the delivery of the Medicines Optimisation strategy
carry out medicines switches in GP practices in line with practice and CCG agreed specific protocols reviewing patients records; amending records and informing patients
to be responsible for the organisation, planning and of own workload to meet set deadlines
to utilise GP practice clinical systems to conduct prescribing audits e.g. SystmOne
