Requirements
NEBOSCH qualification essential
educated to degree level, Health and Safety or Construction related degree is preferable but not essential
excellent technical knowledge of H&S and environmental standards, regulations and procedures
A working knowledge of construction methods and activities
the ability to work with people, communicate effectively and resolve issues
driving Licence
the ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner
experience: 10 years
Responsibility
quarterly environmental site audits
visit each site once per monthly- Review external site audits and close out issues raised; check and update site documentation; plan ahead and prepare RAMS and safety controls for activities in progress and due to start in the next 4/6 weeks
ensure all projects provide suitable welfare and first aid facilities
investigate accidents, identify and implement recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
co-ordinate monthly site audits with external consultant for each site
ensure any non-conformances identified by external or client audits are closed out in a timely manner and where necessary, implement measures to prevent re-occurrence
liaise with site management teams to ensure site compliance
attend company safety meetings / courses as required throughout the year
