Responsibility
liaising with suppliers, obtaining price comparisons and ordering goods as and when required
receiving deliveries and checking goods received against purchase orders
serving operatives in the stores and recording items issued against relevant job on costing system
raising purchase orders on costing system to assist mobile operatives
updating stock spreadsheet daily for items in and out of stock to ensure accurate volumes are reported
organising and delivering goods where required use of company van will be made available during the working day
responsible for stores area, yard safety, security and hygiene. Keep detailed records. Updating inventory management systems
