I am currently partnering with a Specilaty Insurance firm who are looking to bring on an ambitious Assistant Corporate Accountant to their high performing team reporting to the Corporate Reporting Manager. The Assistant Corporate Accountant is a multifaceted role that encompasses treasury leadership, investment accounting, and financial reporting. The responsibilities span from day-to-day financial operations to long-term strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and relationship management with key financial partners. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining the organisation's financial stability and integrity. The successful candidate must be a part qualified accountant - looking to become fully qualified. This is a pivotal role responsible for leading treasury and investment accounting and reporting activities. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, relationship-building, pro activity, organisational skills, problem-solving ability, flexibility, prioritisation, teamwork, analytical skills, regulatory knowledge, and compliance expertise. You will excel in maintaining transparent communication, meeting deadlines, and navigating complex financial situations independently - playing a crucial role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and success within the organisation. I am currently partnered with a Global Insurance business on their search for an IFRS17 Accountant during a period of growth and transformation The role will be responsible for Developing the chart of accounts, mappings, ledger postings and drafting report proformas Assist in developing KPI's and any other financial performance measures including reconciliation to IFRS 17 reporting numbers Aiding with the review and sign off of the output from the Technical Data Hub ensuring it is IFRS 17 compliant Developing the chart of accounts, mappings, ledger postings and drafting report proformas Becoming a key stakeholder in the Dry Run testing delivering comparative runs to our external auditor Profile Requirements Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) Experience of IFRS17 and other regulatory accounting standards External audit experience either as part of an audit team or as part as a finance team Creative problem solver able to work with ambiguity.
