health & safety advisor
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- you will compile risk assessments and monitor incidents, accident statistics and analyse trends
- qualifications to NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and membership of IOSH is desirable
- this is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding Company and progressive Department
- as part of a national team, you will assist with the regular review of H&S documentation and developing new policies & systems taking into account new & current legislation, best practice and business needs
- with previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisory role in a retail or logistics environment, you will be passionate about safety, be able to work on your own initiative, prioritise well and have excellent influencing, communication and interpersonal skills
- are you an experienced Health and Safety professional, an excellent communicator, trainer and coach, who is passionate about influencing change in behaviour and culture? If so, our client an expanding retail / trade organisation is seeking your services within its' growing team to advise, support and inspire branches in the North of England

- in this field-based role you will: Fulfil the requirements of the management of Health & Safety at Work Act regulations and provide professional advice, training, expertise and support to management regarding Health & Safety; Raise awareness of risk and provide the board with assurance that the management framework of Health & Safety is effective; Engage management and employees with the development and delivering of effective training courses; Ensure compliance and best practice regarding H&S issues and effectively following up on formal audits, EHO and Fire Officer visits, and accidents / incidents
