with previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisory role in a retail or logistics environment, you will be passionate about safety, be able to work on your own initiative, prioritise well and have excellent influencing, communication and interpersonal skills

in this field-based role you will: Fulfil the requirements of the management of Health & Safety at Work Act regulations and provide professional advice, training, expertise and support to management regarding Health & Safety; Raise awareness of risk and provide the board with assurance that the management framework of Health & Safety is effective; Engage management and employees with the development and delivering of effective training courses; Ensure compliance and best practice regarding H&S issues and effectively following up on formal audits, EHO and Fire Officer visits, and accidents / incidents

you will provide an effective Loss Prevention service to the business, in relation to stock & cash loss, people and premises by: Conducting unannounced compliance audits and identifying areas of weakness and risk; Analysing data; Conducting and reporting on detailed investigations into internal theft; Reviewing procedures and making recommendations and action plans; Effectively driving shrinkage reduction initiatives; Influencing, supporting, motivating and training to increase compliance and loss prevention awareness and delivering best practice; Specifying and monitoring the effectiveness of physical security equipment; Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external partners
